Tommy has an engineering background, with 40 years of experience in General Management, Production, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Innovation/New Product Development. Tommy is an experience board executive currently working with organisations across multiple sectors.

Experience

Tommy Murray has over 40 years of experience working at senior levels in the beverage and property industries. Tommy has worked extensively in the beverage industry with Gilbey’s, Baileys, Grand Metropolitan and Diageo PLC holding Senior Management positions in Production, Logistics, Distribution, Procurement, Operations, and New Product Development. During this time, he has been heavily involved in the management of various integration programmes both domestically and internationally.

Tommy held the position of President of Operations at Diageo PLC, North America from 1997–2002 where he implemented and oversaw the $200m North American Integration Programme. This significant investment and re-structuring of Diageo’s North American operations delivered a new and more efficient supply chain infrastructure and annual cost savings of $150m.

Tommy retired from Diageo PLC in 2002 and subsequently entered the Property Industry where he was Chairman and Shareholder in Walsh Maguire & Co. Ltd from 2002–2003. During this time, Tommy implemented a re-structuring programme that was central to a period of rapid expansion where annual turnover increased from €10m to €40m. In 2004, Tommy isa Co-founder and the current Chairman of Leading Edge Project Directors (LEPD), a project management company that specializes in managing property-related projects in the public and private sectors.
