Liam Mulcahy

Liam has over 30 years of commercial and general management experience within multinational companies in the oil and energy sectors both in Ireland and overseas, particularly in the Baltics.  He has an innate understanding of the importance of emotional intelligence and the extent to which it can drive commercial growth amongst management teams. With a successful track record in sales and general management, Liam has now turned his focus to mentoring companies and their teams with the view to boosting operational success and team morale.

Experience

Liam has occupied numerous roles within the oil, energy and retail sectors focusing predominantly on sales and commercial strategy. Liam worked for Statoil in both Ireland and the Baltics where he gained invaluable insights into international business models as well as diverse corporate cultures. He then joined Topaz Energy where, layered with other achievements and accolades, Liam built multi-channel, high-performance sales teams who successfully exceeded management expectations and KPI’s year in, year out. He developed and implemented commercial strategies in line with company brand development and targets, delivering accelerated growth ahead of market predictions.

Liam has also been involved in large tenders and the procurement of commodity products for the B2B sector. He has extensive experience in executing large customer supply contracts for both private, government and semi-state bodies. He is a firm believer in creating inclusive and high performing cultures for teams and companies alike. Liam has a passion for brand development, mergers and acquisitions and the integration of single standing companies into cohesive groups.
