Tommy Murray

Tommy is an experienced board executive and business leader with an excellent track record working with companies across multiple sectors. He has an engineering background with over 40 years of experience in General Management, Production, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Innovation and New Product Development.

Experience

Tommy has worked extensively in the beverage industry with Gilbeys, Baileys, Grand Metropolitan and Diageo PLC holding senior management positions across a number of disciplines. During this time, he was also heavily involved in the management of various integration programmes both domestically and internationally.

From 1997 to 2002, Tommy held the position of President of Operations at Diageo PLC, North America where he implemented and oversaw the $200m North American Integration Programme. Major achievements during this time included the delivery of a new and more efficient supply chain infrastructure and annual cost savings of $150m.

Tommy retired from Diageo PLC in 2002 and subsequently entered the property industry where he was Chairman in Walsh Maguire & Co Ltd from 2002 -2003. During this time, he was directly responsible for the implementation of a restructuring programme that was central to a period of rapid expansion where annual turnover increased from €10m to €40m. In 2004, Tommy co-founded (and is now current Chairman) Leading Edge Project Directors (LEPD), a project management company that specialises in managing property-related projects in the public and private sectors.
